It was incredibly important for us to keep the intimate feeling of shopping locally within our platform. Your store is where your products live and we don’t want to change that!
Because your products are stocked at your store, using our local pickup shipping option is a fantastic way to meet new customers. If a customer orders from across the province simply ship the products to them!
We’re working on a direct integration with Canada Post to be able to provide a seamless provincial shipping experience from end to end.
Joining and starting a shop on Shop Local Sask is completely free! There are three basic charges on Shop Local Sask: a monthly subscription, an order commission, and a payment processing fee.
It costs $0.00 to start selling on Shop Local Sask but we have plans to grow with your business. A listing lasts for three months or until the item is sold. Once an item sells, there is a 10% commission fee on the sale price (not including shipping costs), and a 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction processing charge.
Your subscription will be billed monthly with the credit card you place on file. All other transaction fees will be deducted from your order payment deposit.
It’s easy to set up a shop on Shop Local Sask. Register your Shop Local Sask Vendor account (if you don’t already have one) and fill out your shop details. Our Onboarding Specialists will reach out to help add all your products and set a payment method (how you want to be paid).
We offer a 1 business day order payout system through Shop Local Sask. Upon signup you will connect a stripe account which allows for us to deposit order payments as soon as you complete the order. We will pay out your funds through the connected bank account.
No, a credit or debit card is not required to create a vendor account and a free store. Although, a credit card is required to upgrade your subscription.
Shop Local Sask provides a marketplace for Saskatchewan Small Businesses, Local Producers and anything else local in between.
